Frequently asked questions

Didn't find your answer? Write to us — we reply within 24 hours.

I need insurance as a student in Poland. Is this health insurance suitable for me?
In the vast majority of cases, yes. To match the offer correctly, it's worth asking in the dean's office of your university, since each Polish university regulates its own activity.
Does this insurance cover COVID-19?
Yes, illness from the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is not excluded from coverage. Details are in the terms of insurance (OWU).
In which language will the insurance policy document be?
The policy is issued in three languages: Polish, English and Russian. You don't need to spend money on translation.
I bought Wiener insurance. What should I do if I get sick?
In case of illness, it's best to immediately call the 24/7 Wiener helpline at +48 22 501 33 33. The number is also on the policy. The operator will find a clinic and arrange cashless payment. Alternatively, you can pay out of pocket and submit the medical documentation for reimbursement.
Are there any "catches" or legal traps?
The Wiener product provides broad coverage. We don't use "fine print". The terms of insurance (OWU) clearly indicate what is covered and what is excluded. Before concluding insurance, read the documentation carefully.
How can I pay for the policy?
Online — with BLIK or Visa/Mastercard through the PayU system. You can also buy the policy at our office in Warsaw (ul. Nowogrodzka 31, suite 414) with cash, or arrange other payment methods by phone.
What if I want an ink stamp on the document, like in the old days?
Under Polish law a stamp is not required for an electronic document. However, if you need one, visit our office in Warsaw — an agent will stamp it free of charge. We can also send a paper version for an additional fee.
Is this insurance suitable for a residence card in Poland?
Yes, if you choose an insured sum of at least €30,000. The policy must be valid for the entire procedure, plus at least 3 months after the decision. We therefore recommend annual coverage. If it expires during the case — you must provide a new one.
